Arts & Culture

Classical Music Wing & Classical Dance Wing

The school’s classical arts programme nurtures musical and dance traditions, providing disciplined training and performance opportunities.

Classical Music Wing
Classical Music Wing

This section of the club focuses on Indian classical music—both Hindustani and Carnatic traditions. Students learn vocal techniques, explore ragas and talas, and gain experience with classical instruments such as the tanpura, veena, tabla, harmonium, and mridangam. The club emphasizes the spiritual and emotional connection between performer and listener, guiding students to express themselves with depth and authenticity.

Classical Dance Wing
Classical Dance Wing

The classical dance division trains students in traditional Indian dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, and Kuchipudi. Students are taught the significance of mudras (hand gestures), abhinaya (expressions), rhythm, and storytelling through movement. Dance is not just seen as performance, but as a form of devotion, discipline, and cultural narration. Together, the Classical Music and Classical Dance Club performs at various school functions, festivals, and inter-school competitions. The club also hosts workshops with renowned artists to inspire and elevate the learning experience.
